Ruth and Katherine present at the inaugural New York Stem Cell Club Meeting
Katherine Scoullos and Ruth Subhash Singh traveled to New York City on Friday June 12th to present their work at the inaugural New York Stem Cell Club Meeting held at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt Sinai.
Ruth presented her work entitled 'Modeling the Effects of Low Dose Radiation on Immunometabolism and Its Effect on Liver Organoid Physiology' during the oral sessions, while Katherine presented a poster 'In Vitro Modeling Of Wound Healing Dynamics In Murine Fibroblasts Under Spaceflight Stressors'.
The Blaber Lab receives new funding from NASA to study the brain-liver-gut axis
The Blaber Lab alongside collaborators at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and NASA Ames Research Center has received new funding from NASA Space Biology to decipher the role of radiation on cellular aging along the brain-liver-gut axis. This is a new 4 year project planned to start in December 2022.
Angela Kubik receives New York Space Grant Apex Fellowship.
Aleeza Zilberman received an NIGMS Training Grant Fellowship.
